Ann Hamlin is autistic and non-verbal. She uses an iPad and talking board to communicate. Recently, Ann wrote "I Am Here," a song she hopes will help people understand that she is listening and understands what those around her are saying. Ann wants everyone to know that even when people can’t talk, they are intelligent and they have gifts to share. Poignantly, in her song she says, “Even if you don’t know I am here, I am still here for you.”

We encourage you to listen to Ann’s delightful song that includes longing, humor, and kindness here: https://youtu.be/3vu0nTJrUc4.

You can also read from Ann’s blog here: http://www.opinionslearnedfromrpmandautism.com/.

Ann’s dad, Bob Hamlin, attends the Neighborhood Church of the Brethren in Montgomery, Illinois, where she feels warmly welcomed.
