This new staff configuration is designed to provide a more focused effort in both programs and fundraising. Kathy Nofziger Yeakey completed almost four years of service to the organization as Executive Director with her resignation effective January 31, 2019.
Board president, Peter Graber, noted that, “We will miss Kathy and are grateful for all the ways she moved the organization forward. The board has put together a strategic plan for the next three years and is excited about the possibilities represented by Jeanne and Eldon working together to help congregations be places where everyone feels like they belong.”
Eldon holds an MA in Peace Studies and Ethics from Anabaptist Biblical Seminary, and a certificate In Clinical Pastoral Education from Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. He has served two congregations as pastor as well as serving with Mennonite Mutual Aid (now Everence), with MCC in Haiti, and most recently as a hospice chaplain in Goshen.
Jeanne has a Master of Divinity degree from Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Indiana, and is ordained in the Church of the Brethren. She is currently working on a Certificate in Disability and Ministry at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan and serves as pastor for Parables Community, a new church start-up in Lombard, Illinois. Parables Community was created to be a church congregation in which everyone belongs and everyone serves, including people with disabilities.
