We Are Able participants in 2019

Opening paragraph

Each summer the Church of the Brethren has a We Are Able workcamp, a four-day service/learning trip for youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities. It’s an opportunity to spend a few days away from home using their gifts to serve others, as well as worship and have fun together. Youth and adults without disabilities can sign up to attend as service partners. This year We Are Able will be held June 22-25 at Camp Swatara in Bethel, PA. We’ll be serving in local food banks and will have fun at Hershey Park’s Chocolate World in addition to other activities. This workcamp has a registered nurse. Jeanne Davies, program director for ADN, will be one of the leaders. For more information or to register, go to www.brethren.org/workcamps.
