In a time when many denominations are struggling to fund disability ministries, Anabaptist Disabilities Network is uniquely positioned to support disability inclusion and advocacy within the Anabaptist church. We are blessed with a broad grassroots base of support and are ready to grow.
We are in year four of a five-year strategic plan to increase our impact and build our capacity. Along with continuing our Connections newsletter and Opening Doors blog, we have some big things in the works! The MC USA Accessibility Resolution is up for deliberation at a special delegate session in May 2022. We plan to re-design our website, continue to host informational webinars, and grow and strengthen our network. But to do all of this, we need your help. You all, our supporters, are what allow us to promote positive change.
In 2021, we are seeking 40 households to commit to $1,000/year for 3 years to achieve a total individual giving level of $60,000/year. Some of these will be new donors, but most will be current donors willing to increase their level of support. We began this campaign in May and already have 17 households committed. In addition to this, we are working with congregations to increase the number of partner congregations and their annual support to achieve $27,000/year by next fiscal year.
