Anabaptist Disabilities Network partnered with Anabaptist Communicators in September to bring you a free two-part webinar series on Accessible Communications, hosted by Katie Smith.

Part 1: Accessible Print Communications
Thursday, Sept. 8, 12–1 p.m. EDT

How can we design faith-based print communications to provide meaningful access and create an inclusive experience for individuals with disabilities — both within and beyond congregational settings? We’ll cover telling the difference between decorative and meaningful images, determining correct color contrast, and engaging in best practices related to language and the disabled body.

Video now available for Part 1: Accessible Print Communications

Part 2: Accessible Digital Communications
Thursday, Sept. 29, 12–1 p.m. EDT

How can we craft digital communications to provide access for individuals who are blind, low vision, or Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HOH)? We’ll cover how to analyze the different access needs of people who are blind or D/HOH; how to prepare an accessible digital document; and how to determine the necessary resources for providing digital access.
