Kathy’s responsibilities include donor development, office management, relating to the board of directors, and collaborative oversight of finances, communications, staff, and volunteers.
Kathy’s experience in organizational leadership and cultivating donor relationships in several not-for-profit organizations is an asset she brings to this position. Among the Indiana organizations where she has worked are Ten Thousand Villages of Shipshewana, Chain Reaction Bicycle Project, Inc. in Goshen, and Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS) in Elkhart.
Her involvement at North Goshen Mennonite Church, including its ministry with immigrants new to the U.S., has given Kathy opportunities to hone advocacy skills and to practice pastoral care skills she has developed in seminary study at AMBS.
In addition to her professional experience, Kathy draws on lived experience with disabilities gained in relationships with close friends and family. You can look forward to hearing directly from Kathy in a future newsletter about her passion for churches that include people with disabilities.
