Fall Fundraiser Week 3 Resource Highlights

“Let all who thirst come to the water.”
—Isaiah 55:1

Fall Fundraiser Goal: $15,000
Matching Funds: $5,567
Total Raised: $3,865

The heart of our mission at Anabaptist Disabilities Network is to help every congregation to become a place where all who thirst for God find belonging.

Please join us in this work by giving today.

Here are the resources we are highlighting this week:

a bookshelf that takes up the entire wall, made of light brown wood, filled with books of different colors

Book Resource Lists

Books can be a helpful resource to learn more about how disability relates to faith and the life of the church. The books gathered on these lists are meant to contribute to spiritual life, to provide resources for worship, and to give ideas for ways your congregation can become a place of belonging for all people.

Barrier Free Grant Highlight

Philadelphia Praise Center, Pennsylvania

Philadelphia Praise Center received a Barrier Free Grant in 2024 to install a chair lift in their new building so that everyone can access all levels of the space. They specifically wanted their building to be available to the community to use for gatherings and meetings in addition to their weekly worship service. Your donation makes grants like these possible.

A Couch for Miriam, A Couch for All of Us

In this week’s edition of the Opening Doors Blog Joanne Juhnke of Madison Mennonite Church in Wisconsin shares her story of making worship a space where her daughter Miriam is included through the installation of a comfy couch in the worship space.
