Fall Fundraiser Week 2 Resource Highlights
“Let all who thirst come to the water.”
—Isaiah 55:1
The heart of our mission at Anabaptist Disabilities Network is to help every congregation to become a place where all who thirst for God find belonging.
Please join us in this work by giving today.
Here are the resources we are highlighting this week:
Shifting Towards Inclusive Worship
at Kern Road Mennonite Church
In this week’s Opening Doors Blog, Deanna Waggy shares how Kern Road Mennonite Church in South Bend, Indiana has made shifts towards inclusive worship in their congregation. Rather than overhauling their worship structure, they wove in small, inclusive moments throughout the service that were intended to include younger attenders and those with intellectual disabilities.

Resource: Hidden Disabilities and Chronic Illness
Hidden disabilities and chronic illnesses are conditions that limit a person’s ability to move through life in the way society expects, despite the lack of physical signs of a disability. People with hidden disabilities may experience chronic fatigue, brain fog, intense pain, digestive problems, weakness, dizziness, and other unobservable symptoms.
Barrier Free Grant Highlight
Florence Church of the Brethren/Mennonite
Constantine, Michigan
Florence Church of the Brethren/Mennonite received a Barrier Free Grant in 2024 to create an assisted listening device system in their sanctuary. “We want people with hearing issues to be able to listen to God’s message,” they shared. Your donation makes grants like these possible.
