We Are Able Camp at Amigo Centre

We Are Able, a service-learning camp for adults with intellectual disabilities, will be held this summer at Amigo Centre in Sturgis, Michigan. The camp, which runs July 13-16, will include times of both service and recreation. Participants will volunteer with local organizations and support projects around camp along with traditional recreation activities, including canoeing, hiking, campfires, and board games. We Are Able is organized by the Church of the Brethren and has been held since 2009. ADN Executive Director Jeanne Davies shared, “We all have a desire to give in a meaningful way. We Are Able is a great opportunity for young adults to spend a few days away from home, serving others and having a great time.”

Anabaptist Disabilities Network (ADN) is a small organization located in Elkhart, Indiana, which serves the Anabaptist community in North America. ADN connects and supports people who have disabilities, their families, and faith communities to create a culture of belonging for everybody.
